EBAY and CDR'S

its kinda sad actually. i try to get the word out as my label is going to re-release the heart throb mob stuff as well as SEVERAL other glam bands from that time.

i do try to let people know that it is coming out again and it will be affordable and remastered stuff.

i have the agreement for 8 albums by various different bands right now but i will not announce any release dates until they are confirmed.

also in case you should want to know. every one of them are FULLY authorized by the bands and the bands receive compensation for them.

we will be starting with pre orders for some of these albums BEFORE summer and the first 50 people who preorder and pay before the production date will have their names listed under the thank yous on the liner notes.

all albums will be between 1 and 999 pressed with the actual number NOT announced until after 6 months have passed. the heart throb mob stuff is limited to ONLY 500 copies and that is our only actual confirmed count and all that is authorized for the release.

these are going to be called the 100's series.

btw you'd be suprised at who is getting released. some of them have NEVER been officially released as cds! and a very FAMOUS unsigned band that did not really seem to get anything out except some demo stuff is finally getting the treatment. but, that is all pending.

lets keep it at that and warn people though. if it ain't a trade don't bother the official reissue is probably coming.

now see, your doin things right. it's great your doin stuff with the band members and they r gettin a cut. i would definately pay for what your offering and hope i can get more info on the htm and other stuff u have in the works. what pisses me off is the peeps who r selling the cdr's on ebay. i think thats crap and takin advantage of people who want the cds and dont know where to find them...

Selling Cdrs's on e-bay is not cool at all...cdr's are not even supposed to be allowed on e-bay, but people disguise them as being *FAN CLUB* only releases!!!! Many on here have been burned by doing friendly trades with the wrong people...just ask Marky!!!...i've been burned myself....for a BAD BLOOD demo...the person even used my cheap-ass looking artwork i created. It's made me re-think the way i trade.
GlitterNStarz..i think what your doing is awesome!!!!working with the bands and such...will buy some of those releases for sure....can't wait to hear what bands are gonna be involved.....sounds too cool to be true!!

just wanted to get your opinion on how u feel about people selling cdr's of these great hard to find glam bands. i see cdr's from people selling htm to tryx and not originals. i personally think it FUCKIN SUCKS!!!! it's cool people want to make a quick buck but true fans would not try to profit from the music...hope everyone will consider doin trades or just helping peeps out. I'm good like that...Me giving it free takes them ebay-sellers from making 80 dollars a pop.
If I have it...I will give FREE...and my CDR Copy won't come with a jar of vaseline.

thats pretty cool that you are doing that. good luck with it. as for bands that would be cool to see stuff from, Keri Kelli's Rubber would be bomb. Don't know if he would go for it but it is, in my opinion, the best stuff he ever wrote. not a bad song on there. there is a pretty bad ass band around here that does a cover of More Like You, actually the band is pretty bad but still and all.

let me know when you have the list of bands you are releasing finalized, i'm sure i will be interested in some of them.

i am doing it for a few reasons.

my girlfriend / business partner and i both LOVE the music.

secondly, my experiences from wandering around ebay have left me burned a few times (i actully purchased cdrs from some individuals who never sent them!)

i decided it was time to get the bands directly involved into this therefore we can knock that stuff on ebay by advertising and letting ebay know that there are no "fan club" releases from the bands we represent.

then on the fan level we get music to more people who may not be willing to shell out $80 for a band they only heard of and not actually heard!

so yup, service is #1 and hooking more people to this awesome music is #2 and bands get paid for it and we all get FACTORY pressed copies and remasters of all the good stuff!

BTW we plan on putting a special spot just for glitzinet members in some of the releases. yup your name and glitzine user name will be included in certain releases with your preorders!

i personally think its fitting for what has to be the best board i've ever been to.
